Integrative Psychotherapy
Integrating Western psychology and Eastern philosophy
Integrative Psychotherapy is a unique approach to therapy that integrates different modalities of healing. Summer integrates western psychology and eastern philosophy into her everyday approach to therapy and coaching sessions.
Summer works from a one of a kind approach to Mind Body Healing, combining the teachings and principles of Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda with the more clinically focused approach to psychology through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
“If someone is able to show me that what I think or do is not right, I will happily change, for I seek the truth, by which no one was ever truly harmed.
It is the person who continues in his self-deception and ignorance who is harmed.”
-Marcus Aurelius
Healing is a process that unfolds over time with deeper awareness, attention and patience. Healing is not always something that comes with time and is not something we can always do by ourselves. We all need guidance, support and perspective at times to help heal things that are out of balance, causing suffering, and ultimately what is holding us back from our greatest potential.
Mind Body Healing
Through Integrative Psychotherapy, we are touching into the multitude of Mind Body Healing.
Mind Body Healing is a process of realigning the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies to bring a deeper sense of ease, connection and balance.
The body and the mind are naturally designed to work in relationship to one another. This is referred to as coherence.
Often times depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, pain, wounds, grief and life circumstances can lead to mind body incoherence. This misalignment creates all kinds of problems, including mental and physical illnesses, throwing mind and body a state of unease, discomfort and disconnection.

CONTROL THE MIND, CONTROL THE EMOTIONS
Learning to overcome thoughts and emotions is key to living an empowered life. Healing comes from learning ones own patterns, habits, core beliefs and cognitive thinking traps that effect, reinforce or create specific emotions and why we behave or act in unhelpful ways.
IT’S ALL A MINDSET!!!
When you are identified with arising thoughts, you are living unconscious… lack of awareness keeps you stuck in the veil of past conditioning of mind, emotions, and behaviors. This is the human dilemma. Awakening comes with living CONSCIOUSLY through Self Awareness.
